GRAND LISBOA PALACE 2020 OPENING

Art direction and proposal development for the 2020 opening ceremony of the Grand Lisboa Palace, Macau.

The Palace will be the last major all new Integrated resort to open on Cotai. We aim to turn this into an advantage and  highlight for the property and the opening event. The property just like Lisboa is also a pioneer being the first totally unique integrated resort that acknowledges Macau’s unique heritage and culture. With this in mind rather than being seen as late we propose to position it in a way that is advantageous and that represents this moment as both the culmination of a proud heritage for the brand and the Cotai. As such we are following a theme of Lisboa being the first and last. It also acts as reflection of Macau’s heritage as both the first European colony in Asia and the last.

Lisboa were the first with the pioneering vision to build Macau into an international destination... We now continue this legacy with… The launch of the FIRST Karl Lagerfeld Hotel in the world, alongside Asia’s FIRST Versace Hotel, all at Macau’s finest integrated resort, the FIRST to embrace the proud east meets west heritage of our city.
